Why do we recommend ordering a little more concrete than you actually need?

When estimating the amount of concrete to order, consider that you will need more than is needed to complete your proposed structure.

Once the concrete is pumped out, about 0.2 m3 of concrete remains in the pipes and the unloading bunker. Due to the consistency of the concrete, the concrete truck will have 0.1 m3 of unloading residue.

Also, due to the compaction of the concrete or the fact that the surface is not very smooth, a higher quantity has to be planned, depending on the object:

• Slabs and polystyrene (EPS/XPS)- 10%
• For floors, squares – 5%
• For other structures – 2%

Taking these tolerances into account will help you avoid extra trips to make up the shortfall and thus unforeseen costs.
